Alton Evolution Cedar cold frames are manufactured from the same sturdy quality timber profiles as the Evolution range of greenhouses with precision cut mortise and tenon joints. Complete with sliding and hinged lids that you can open in a variety of ways including two different heights using the inbuilt cedar props or you can keep them in the closed position and slide them across. At the final stage of hardening off your plants, you can remove the lids completely by simply sliding them off, the walls of the cold frame then provide that extra bit of shelter and warmth.
