Traditional spinning of wool, which involves twisting, tends to cause itching and irritation next to the skin due to restricting the natural movement of the wool fibres. Instead of this method, Nuyarn, drafts wool fibres along a high-performance filament resulting in two ply yarns with more volume and aeration.

ESS (Elastic Support System)
The Elastic Support System (ESS) locks the sock to your foot and lower leg with minimal compression, for a secure and comfortable fit. Elastics are strategically knitted into the sock to prevent slippage - creating a much more comfortable wearing experience and reducing the chance of blisters.

Paladin Protection Pad
Foot numbness is an issue faced by many when out for long days hiking, shooting or working outdoors. Paladin protection helps to reduce this numbness by redistributing pressure often placed on the main artery feeding the foot. Initially developed by leading medical podiatrist Angela Bailey, the technology helps to minimize the risk to feet and increase comfort. The Paladin protection pad is featured on the Le Chameau NuYarn styles, featuring a U-shaped pad positioned on the top of the foot. The pad helps to redistribute compression away from the bones on the top of the foot, aiding bloodflow. The U-shaped pad is marked with lines that should be aligned with the centre of the foot.
