Goyon-Chazeau Knives
It is over years and generations that GOYON-CHAZEAU acquired a mastery of cutlery by organizing, one after the other, the steps of making a knife, that are called “ranks”. A GOYON-CHAZEAU knife, or cutlery piece, uses more than 40 ranks and is made with supplies exclusively coming from Thiers labor pool, French capital city of cutlery for 6 centuries. This applies to table knives, kitchen knives and pocket knives.
In 1957, Mrs Solange GOYON & her friends had to peel and cut a lot of vegetable for the communal lunch they shared with their village colleagues. They did this with unsuitable and blunt knives that quickly turned this work into a real chore. She was therefore prompted to ask her husband, Gabriel, to make a small knife adapted specifically for this task. Le P'tit Tradi has since remained the privilege of these grandmothers and their descendants. Today we are happy to share this legacy with you.
