Still a family run operation, managed by the second generation, Jo and brother Jordan, with a friendly and knowledgeable team of twelve, proud to be celebrating 44 years in business.

In 1999 www.birstall.com was formed, the UK’s 1st online Garden Centre with a fully operational click-&-buy e-commerce website.

“We started off by scanning a few pages from our brochures of garden sheds and summerhouses” explains Jordan, “Within a few weeks, we were receiving orders from all over the UK! It was amazing, we soon had to get our Logistics network organized … As of today, we’re offering a choice of 22,572 garden & Leisure products both in-store & online, for delivery throughout the UK & Europe. From live tropical aquatic plants, BBQ’s and premium branded furniture with waterproof upholstery to fully insulated garden home offices.”

Regular customers describe our store as a TARDIS-like emporium, not realising we’re much bigger than we initially appear. The shop is full of wonderful gifts for everyone, including traditional beech wood Davos sledges for when the snow comes, stocking fillers for the kids, gorgeous scented candles and gardener’s gifts to suit every taste and budget. Our soft deer skin gloves are selling like hot cakes.

The focal point of every home this Christmas will of course be the Tree. Whether you prefer a fresh and bushy real Christmas tree with the natural festive smell or a lifelike artificial one, we have a large variety on offer. With real trees from 4ft to huge 30ft specimens for commercial properties, they are all British grown and sheared during cultivation to produce that lovely full and bushy conical shape.

There’s still plenty to do in the garden in November & December, and Winter’s one of our favourite seasons. Christmas dominates this time of year with shopping, decorations and festive cheer, freshly cut local real Christmas trees and stunning artificial trees that look like the real thing. Here at the Garden Centre, we have an amazing selection.

Our Christmas shop has everything you need to decorate your home and tree for the holiday season with beautiful glass baubles, wooden decorations and a huge selection of lights for both indoors and out.

We can be found in the centre of Birstall Village on the main Sibson Road shopping street, which runs off the A6 Loughborough Road. We’ve plenty of parking onsite plus a large free public car park directly opposite the Garden Centre for easy access.

Open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Why not come down for our late night opening on Friday 6th December until 8pm and join us for a glass of wine with treats for the kids to get the celebrations underway!
